Hello! I want to talk about colcannon. What is colcannon? It is a traditional dish from Ireland. It’s made with floury potatoes, shredded cabbage, pungent green onions and a generous helping of butter and milk. People often eat it on Halloween night. I think that is very interesting!
I like this recipe. The food looks so delicious in the pictures. The recipe is easy to understand because the website has clear steps and nice photos.
In Japan, I think colcannon is a little like potato salad. But it is also different. When I make potato salad, I mix in mayonnaise instead of butter. Furthermore, I have never put shredded cabbage and pungent green onions and butter in potato salad.
That sounds new and fun!
I really want to try colcannon someday. I think I will like it a lot!
